The Art of Upside Down-Inversion Workshop with Rebecca Sisson

Explore a new perspective! In this all-levels inversion workshop we’ll explore the art and technique of four foundational inversions: shoulderstand, headstand, forearm stand, and handstand.

We’ll begin with warm-ups poses to build the strength, mobility, and stability needed for safe inversions. From there, you’ll learn step-by-step progressions, modifications, and variations that allow you to meet the practice exactly where you are. Emphasis will be placed on alignment, mindful engagement, and safety so that you feel supported at every stage—whether you’re trying your first inversion or refining one you’ve been practicing for years.

Along the way, we’ll cover:

  • How to properly engage your core and shoulders to protect the neck and spine

  • How to use props, walls, and spotting to practice safely

  • Techniques to overcome fear and build confidence while going upside down

  • Tools to continue your inversion journey at home

Expect a mix of instruction, practice time, and play! This workshop is open to all levels—no inversion experience is required, only curiosity and an open mind.
